Photos from Amsterdam

Hi! I'm going back a few months and posting the remaining photos from my Winter Europe trip.

Here are some photos I took when I was in Amsterdam. The posts I wrote at the time can be found here (Day 1 & Day 2) which goes into detail about the daily activities. I didn't take a lot of pictures of Amsterdam that haven't already been seen. Obviously there are no pictures of the Red Light district which Amsterdam if famous for because the working ladies can get quite aggressive about it.

Little boats anchored though out the canal system. They were very photogenic.

The bookcase concealing the secret rooms that Anne Frank and her family stayed in during WWII persecution of Jews.

Bicycles were everywhere!

I had a sweet lunch at this pancake shop.

A cherry confection that was ridiculously hard to finish. It was delicious.

Outside shop entrance to the Tulip Museum which was dinky and cute.
Did you know that the distinctive "broken" tulip is in fact a bulb that has been infected with a virus and over years will weaken the bulb. Apparently in the day these tulips were highly desirable!

Types of Tulips.

The iconic blue tulip tile-work that the Netherlands are famous for.
I will post more photos soon.
