Friday R & R

"Group Headquarters was alarmed, for there was no telling what people might find out once they felt free to ask whatever questions they wanted to. Colonel Cathcart sent Colonel Korn to stop it, and Colonel Korn succeeded with a rule governing the asking of questions...Under Colonel Korn's rule, the only people permitted to ask questions were those who never did. Soon the only people attending were those who never asked questions, and the sessions were discontinued altogether, since Clevinger, the corporal and Colonel Korn agreed that it was neither possible nor necessary to educate people who never questioned anything." -- Catch-22
I really needed to get out of the Lodge and since Friday didn't have many lectures I went off for ten hours by myself. Firstly I went to the library and got some books:

Poe's Tales of Mystery & Imagination
Catch-22
After that, I went on the Million Dollar Cruise around the lake (only $25.00 for 90 minutes!). It was beautiful. Here are some photos from my trip.

Below is a few videos of my lake trip so you can sort of feel how I felt. Or not, uploader is not cooperating and I think it'll eat all my internet.

Then I went and sat at the lake beach observing as people literally cooked themselves in the sun. After that, I went back to the Beach House cafe, speaking of which, the day after I visited last time an article about it appeared in the Mountain Scene. Talk about serendipitous!

I hope the quality is okay, I just photographed it.

So I had another coffee (a Flat White) and this time it was awful. The first sip I shuddered and almost gagged. The second sip was to make sure the first had been as bad as I thought. I wrote a note on a receipt and left it on the saucer then left. That's the first time I've ever walked out on a bad coffee, I usually feel guilty and drink it irrespective of taste. My note said:

"This coffee is terrible. Clean your machine, change your barista or check your beans because its doing you no favours."

As you can see, as well as tasting bad, it's confused as to whether it is a Flat White or a Latte.

So then I went to Subway for something to eat and then off to Puss in Boots at the cinema. Loved it, however now I miss Twinkles. When I get home she's gonna get the life cuddled out of her. After that, I sat on the beach and watched the sun set while reading Catch-22.

That's enough! I spent way longer than I intended on this post so I'm going to bed now.

Toodle-oo.

Gorgeous photos! Too bad about the coffee, but you're probably doing them a favour leaving them a note.
